This 30th anniversary CD release party featured the pioneering world fusion music group Ancient Future, scalloped fretboard guitarist Matthew Montfort, and Mariah Parker's Indo Latin Jazz Ensemble performing music from three new releases celebrating 30 years of world fusion music. Digital Article on Ancient Future History (1.5 MB, streaming audio)
We have great news! To commemorate 30 years of world fusion music, the Archive of Future Ancient Recordings (A.F.A.R) has been launched and work has begun on the recording subscription series with the live multitrack recording of the Ancient Future's 30th anniversary concert. So we have a good start on at least one of the possible recording themes.
To support music of a high standard of musicianship and recording quality in the current state of the music business, we need direct support from you. While we are raising money, we are making available archival recordings and work files from the live recordings as mp3 files exclusively to supporters of the project so that there is instant gratification for participating in the project. There are already three songs in the download archive. We'll be adding more files from the archives, and as soon as we have enough subscribers we will begin work on some brand new material. Subscribe now to get access to the download area!
Thanks go out to the following people who have already subscribed: Vincent Martel, Cliff Sears, Alan Moore of Musicians for Peace, and Leslie Lawton.
Your help is both needed and appreciated. Please subscribe.
