Donor Thank You'sIn December, 1978, Ancient Future went into Tres Virgos Studio in Mill Valley to begin work on the first Ancient Future record, Visions of a Peaceful Planet. During Ancient Future's 30th anniversary year, work has started on the next project of the band: the Archive of Future Ancient Recordings (A.F.A.R.).
To finance the Archive of Future Ancient Recordings, a subscription system model is being employed to fund the recording through fans of world fusion music.
Subscribers gain access to files from the archives of live concerts, radio performances, and new recordings as they are created. The full archive of recordings is available during the project exclusively to subscribers, and when the archive is sufficiently stocked, a portion of the recordings will be selected for commercial release. There are already quite a few recordings in the archives available for subscribers to download now, with more to come as money is raised for further production.
As the recording progresses, a few digital singles will be released at major download sites to raise awareness of the project. The final selection of recordings from the archive will be released on Ancient-Future.Com Records, with national distribution through ADA.
Subscription sales for the recording will close when the recording is sold out. Order now because the quicker supporter packages are sold, the quicker the fun begins. There are four supporter packages available:

Support Ancient Future Concerts

Raised to Date: $0Like the symphony, Ancient Future's world music concerts cannot be supported by ticket sales alone. Yet arts funding has been cut drastically, especially in the USA and in California, and the advancement and indeed survival of the art of music is at stake.
You can help support Ancient Future's local San Francisco Bay Area concert season, or with a big enough donation, provide seed money to get Ancient Future to perform in your local area.
Through an alliance with Octave Alliance's Green Music Network, the nonprofit organization for social change through music started by Ancient-Future.Com artist Alan Tower, a world fusion music fund has been set up and is now accepting tax deductible donations for world fusion music concerts and workshops by Ancient Future. The modest goal is to raise funds for two high profile local concerts in the 2010 season. Future plans include raising money to support travel expenses for one short tour outside the San Francisco Bay Area in 2010.
